Subject: A survey of Autism prevalence in the UAE

 Dear Parent/ Guardian,

 Ministry of Education in Association with the Child Psychiatry Service at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) and Cleveland clinic of Ohio, USA is launching a research study to explore the prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in the United Arab of Emirates children age 6-18 years old.We are asking for your cooperation and would be most grateful if you complete the links of the study questionnaires.You will not be identified in any part of the study results or in any resulting publications and your privacy and confidentiality will be preserved.

 However you may wish to receive a feedback report, in which case you can provide your information such as the child’s SIS number and parents’ email address on the best way to communicate with you.

 There are three questionnaires to complete. Two are mandatory and the third is optional However, we encourage you to complete all three e- questionnaires listed below:

1- Social communication Questionnaire(SCQ Scale):

 The purpose of this study is to identify the prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorder in UAE so a plan for appropriate services can be generated accordingly and is the first step to a larger future study looking into the prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorder study in the UAE.

 Your participation in this research study is deeply appreciated and will provide the tangible information required to appropriate the necessary funding and resources required.Your contribution is highly appreciated.
